Wye Under Fives Pre-School

The Pre-School is for children aged between 2.5 and 5 years old who live in the village of Wye and the surrounding area. We also run a weekly Parent Baby and Toddler playgroup.   We are an independent charitable organisation providing the highest standards of care and learning for all pre-school children.

Run by experienced and well-trained staff, Wye Under Fives has proudly been offering an exceptional environment for young children in the area for over 50 years.

As a pre-school setting we are committed to inclusivity, seeing to ensure that every local child, regardless of their situation and abilities, can be accommodated and be helped to develop and grow to their full potential.

Our pre-school is based in the Small Village Hall in Wye. We are open for 38 weeks per year, following Kent Schools academic year. Up to 27 children attend each session. Our session times are 8.45am – 11.45am and 12.15pm – 3.15pm.

Children generally start with two, three or four sessions per week rising to five sessions per week as they get older.

If you wish to apply for a place, please download our prospectus and registration form (at the bottom of this page) and return to the setting. Or you can email office@wyeunderfives.co.uk with any queries.

Parent, Baby & Toddler Playgroup

The playgroup is for babies and toddlers to attend with their parents or carers.  We meet every Wednesday 9.30am-11.30am during term time in the Large Village Hall next to the pre-school.  We have lots of activities for toddlers as well as a baby activity corner.  You do not have to pre-register for the playgroup or be attending the pre-school, all are welcome.

Our Committee

Wye Under Fives is a registered Charity and the running of our pre-school is supported by our volunteer Trustee Committee.

The committee is responsible for ensuring that the charity complies with the rules in its constitution, charity law, and any other relevant regulations that govern the work of the pre-school.

The Committee also help organise fundraising events throughout the year.  Past events include a Christmas Bazaar, a Quiz, Cake Sales, and Summer Picnic.  All fundraising proceeds are used to purchase new equipment and toys for the children.

We would always welcome new members to the committee, whether you can only help with the fundraising or wish to become a full trustee member, its a great way to support your pre-school.

Please speak to a member of your committee if you are interested in volunteering or you can email them directly at  committee@wyeunderfives.co.uk
